Terms and Conditions

OCR World Championships - Limerick, Ireland

These Terms and Conditions apply to all persons who purchase a ticket for, register for, participate in, attend, volunteer at, or otherwise engage with the OCR World Championships (the “Event”).

By purchasing a ticket, registering for the Event, or attending the Event in any capacity, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Acceptance of Terms

Purchase of any ticket, entry, accreditation, or participation product constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not purchase a ticket or participate in the Event.

Eligibility & Medical Fitness

By purchasing a ticket or registering as a participant, you confirm that you:
  • Are physically and mentally fit to participate in the Event
  • Are free from any medical condition that would make participation unsafe
  • Have not been advised by a qualified medical professional to avoid strenuous physical activity
  • Accept full responsibility for determining your fitness to participate
Participation in obstacle course racing is voluntary and undertaken entirely at your own risk.

Championship Eligibility

Eligibility to compete in Championship categories is subject to selection and confirmation by your National Federation.

Participants who register for a Championship category without having been selected by their National Federation may be reclassified into the Open category or races at the discretion of the Event organisers. Athletes competing in the Open category are not eligible for national titles, records, rankings, or awards.

No refunds will be issued in cases where an athlete is reclassified due to ineligibility for Championship categories.

Participants Under 18 Years of Age

Participants under the age of 18 (“Minors”) may only participate in the Event with the express consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By registering a Minor or purchasing a ticket on behalf of a Minor, the parent or legal guardian confirms that:

  • They have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the Minor
  • The Minor is medically fit and capable of participating
  • They accept full responsibility for the Minor's participation
  • They release and indemnify the Event organisers from any claims arising from the Minor's participation, to the fullest extent permitted by Irish law

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that obstacle course racing is an inherently hazardous sport. Risks include, but are not limited to, slips, falls, collisions, contact with obstacles, equipment failure, weather conditions, physical exertion, and the actions of other participants.

By participating in or attending the Event, you voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen, associated with the Event.

Liability Waiver & Release

To the maximum extent permitted under Irish law, you agree that Aimwell Events, World Obstacle, the OCR World Championships, the Local Organising Committee, venue owners, sponsors, partners, staff, volunteers, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, expense, or death arising out of or in connection with participation in or attendance at the Event.

You hereby waive, release, and discharge the above parties from any and all claims, including those arising from negligence, except where liability cannot be excluded under Irish law.

Media, Image & Broadcasting Rights

By purchasing a ticket, registering, or attending the Event, you grant Aimwell Events, World Obstacle, and the OCR World Championships an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
  • Capture, record, photograph, and film your image, likeness, name, voice, and performance
  • Broadcast, stream, publish, reproduce, distribute, and otherwise use such content
  • Use such content for commercial, promotional, marketing, and editorial purposes across all media platforms, now known or hereafter developed


Tickets, Pricing & Refund Policy

All prices are final at the time of purchase.
  • No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to injury, illness, scheduling conflicts, travel disruption, or weather conditions
  • Tickets and entries are non-transferable unless expressly permitted by the Event organisers
  • Entry fees vary based on registration date and accommodation status, and eligibility for discounted pricing is subject to verification


Event Schedule & Changes

The Event schedule, race formats, course design, start times, and venues are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Event organisers.

Changes may be made due to safety considerations, weather, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. No refunds will be issued as a result of such changes.

Conduct & Safety Compliance

All attendees must comply with Event rules, safety instructions, and directions from officials and volunteers at all times.

The Event organisers reserve the right to remove any participant or attendee who fails to comply with Event rules or whose behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive, without refund.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising from or in connection with the Event shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

Data Collection & Use of Information

By purchasing a ticket, registering for, or participating in the Event, you acknowledge and agree that Aimwell Events, World Obstacle, and the OCR World Championships may collect, store, and process personal information provided during registration or collected in connection with the Event.

This information may include, but is not limited to:
  • Name, contact details, date of birth, nationality
  • Registration, entry, and accommodation details
  • Event participation data and results
  • Media content associated with participation
You consent to this information being used for:
  • Event administration and operational purposesM
  • Safety, medical, and accreditation requirementsM
  • Results processing and rankingsM
  • Event communications and updatesM


You further agree that Aimwell Events may use your contact information to promote, market, and provide information about future events, races, and activities organised or delivered by Aimwell Events, including via email or other direct communication channels.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in such communications, without affecting your ability to participate in the Event. All personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable Irish and EU data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
